💡 I used to think my past financial struggles were a huge black spot on my past; that they somehow tarnished who I was trying to be.
- I’ve gone through the expense of a divorce.
- I know the pain of dealing with bad credit.
- I’ve struggled to start over.
- I know what it’s like to juggle multiple jobs.
- I’ve dealt with receiving unexpected medical bills (at Christmas).
- I’ve been issued eviction notices.
- I’ve dealt with collectors.
- I know the emotions of feeling like a disappointment.
- I know what it’s like to feel like damaged goods.
- I can transform a $0.99 can of tomato soup into a good dinner!
- I know what it’s like to feel like wasted potential.
HOWEVER, I’ve come to realize that all the classes I’ve taken to equip myself to provide quality financial education pale in comparison to the life experiences I’ve had. “School of Financial Hard Knocks” right there!
My financial past isn’t my “black spot” because I didn’t allow it to be! It’s actually what makes me a better educator today because I am proof that you can overcome your financial struggles. You CAN rewrite your financial story. It takes work, but I know it’s possible because I overcame my original story!

The world is changing incredibly fast and kids are growing up even faster than before! Building a financial legacy is more than inheritance, it is the passing on of healthy money habits that sets up future generations well. I want to equip women with the knowledge and skills they need to talk to and teach their kids about money. Freedom begins with YOU!
