How To Choose A Budget Planner That’s Right For You!

The good Lord made me a planner! I LOVE to plan things out, especially vacations. Why? It gives me peace of mind knowing that everything is taken care of: the money needed, the time needed, the reservations needed, the supplies needed, the tickets needed, etc. When everything is organized and checked, I feel at peace…I feel that I can actually sit back and enjoy our vacation. “Where’s my Mojito?!”

When it comes to your money, budgeting is the top method to keep your finances aligned with your financial goals. When everything is organized and checked, you feel at peace, like you can actually DO STUFF instead of just counting your pennies with anxiety.

One method commonly used for budgeting is a BUDGET PLANNER.

A budget planner is a tool to help you organize your finances effectively by tracking what you spend and seeing if it aligns with your needs and goals.

Some common examples of Budget Planners are:

  • Paper Planners or Notebooks (cheers to those who still like paper!)
  • Digital Spreadsheets
  • Budgeting Apps (see HERE for the top Budgeting Apps)
  • Financial Software

Which one to use really depends on YOU and how you naturally interpret data.

If you feel frustrated trying to understand all the data in front of you, that particular Budget Planning tool might not be the best for you. Ask yourself these questions to ensure you have the right tool to budget:

  • Which one makes you feel most in control?
  • Which one makes you feel organized gives you peace?
  • Which one tracks spending in a way you understand?
  • Which one helps you get out of debt faster?
  • Which one categorizes your spending habits?
  • Which one helps you save for future expenses?
  • Which one helps you save for retirement?

Your budget is completely personal and unique. No one else is going to have one like yours, so it makes sense for you to find a Budget Planning method that is perfect for you, for your needs, and for your goals.

Last thing to consider: should you go full Budget Planning DIY or get coaching?

As a Financial Coach, my goal is to equip YOU to the best of my ability so YOU can execute YOUR financial plan and achieve YOUR financial goals. In other words, I set you up so you can DIY. Coaching doesn’t mean anything if the clients don’t succeed themselves.

So, if you are tired of the financial merry-go-round you are on and you want a lasting change with a personalized plan, let’s have a chat! And if you work with me, I’ll get you organized and on the road to go enjoy your Mojito!
